I was invited to take the series of meetings at the recent Klang Gospel Hall Family Camp.(5 to 7th.June) at YMCA Ipoh.
Those who joined this camp came from Jejarom,Port Klang and Klang Gospel Hall.
It was a simple retreat with lots of emphasis to learn from the Word of God and prayers for church revival. There were group discussion after each teaching session. We had the last group discussion converted to prayer session---special prayer for spiritual revival and the revival of the church.
Once again thank God and also thank the leaders of Klang Gospel Hall for the opportunity to minister among the saints.

Death Strikes Anytime

It was about 2.30pm on 8/5/09 when my phone rang. On the line was the son of brother Cheng Huat---- Cheng Zhi Yong. This is a rare call, more so from the Cheng family. When I was told that the father had suddenly passed away to be with the Lord I was shocked.
Cheng Huat was a strong healthy adult of 55 years old. He was a construction worker. Full og muscles and not much of fatty tissue ike some of us. No complain of any illness.
He died during the lunch break in his working site. Died of sudden heart attack. Oh it was shocking to all.
I began comforting the son and directing him what to do and how to go about the matter. had even the undertaker to coach and guide him through the police reporting procedure. I began to organise with Cheng Huat's brother on the detail preparing for evening memorial services and make plan for funeral on Sunday 10/5.
Death strikes anytime without prior warning. Are ready to meet the Lord? Is our life bearing fruit for the Lord? God bless and comfort the family.

Bye Bye Mr.Lim

Mr.Lim Chuan Huat was a regular member of our Hokkien Fellowship. He accepted the Lord and was baptised some time back.
Being a senior citizen, eighty of age, he was suffering from acute diabetic problem. He even went for dialysis not too long ago.
Suddenly he was called home on Sunday evening 3/5/09.
This time the Baptist pastor was asked to help to organise the funeral and memorail meetings. This is so because during his illness, Pastor always coem this assistance. In fact, Mr.Lim was baptised at the Baptist Church.
Kiwi was asked to take one evening memorial service and to take charge of the funeral service on Thursday morning. Praise God we had fine weather all the evening services. We had a sunny day even on the funeral day. Mr.Lim was cremated at Taiping Crematorium.
Kiwi led the congregation to sing Hokkien songs during the two meetings that he was in charged of. The songs brought back much memories of Mr.Lim at the Hokkien fellowship.
Let us say "bye bye ' to our beloved brother Lim Chuan Hock.

How Do You Support Missions

Just a few days back I was having lunch with three Vietnamese Christian leaders together with our Vietnamese minister:Joe and Ann.
These Vietnamese Christians leaders were from Australia Vietnamese churches. They came to pay a visit to Joe & Ann and to see for themselves the work that is being carried out by Joe & Ann.
They do not blindly provide the fellowship and support to the work. They are srious about missions. They travelled all the way from Australia to Malaysia and stay with Joe and Ann.
They took some meetings to encourage the saints (Vietnamese believers). They will be making a report back to their churches as to the development and progress of the work here. They even suggested that Joe & Ann should pray and consider work among those who have returned from Malaysia back in Vietnam in the near future.
They would open the way for Joe and Ann to pay regular visit to Australia and to main a good fellowship with the churches and believers in Vietnam.
NB: How have your church being in mission bsuiness? Is your church giving blind supports and call it missions? Have your church make any serious studies and visits to the sites to contribute directly to the preaching of the Word and the sharing of the Gospel?
Do we really know what the 'missionaries' are doing in the field? Is it a serious 'mission bsuiness'?

Nepali Colony In Nibong Tebal

Visited a colony of 300 Nepali foreign workers at their quarters. Amar and two other Nepali believers sang some Christian songs and share the gospel with about 20 of them.

I was given an opportunity to shared with them. Encourage them make good use of the opportunity to join the other Nepali friends at the church fellowship.Reminded that they must love themselves while staying and working in Malaysia. They must think of their loved ones at home, and so taking good care of themselves in place of work, and taking care of their health. Reminded them to care for one another. Helping one another. Encourage them to organised themselves to keep the place clean and tidy.

Told them to save their income for home. Discourage them from buying expensive hand phones and other unnecessary items. Encourage them to enetertain themselves with some songs, listening to radio, and also watching movies on TV . Telling them to consider to get to know new friends in the church.

Their immediate needs:
10 units of second hand washing machines
20 units of simple radio sets
300 sets of single mattress covers.

Promise to help them if anyone got sick and has no money to see doctor in the nearby clinic.

If NTGH wanted to reachout to this colony of Nepali foreign workers, the church must show their love and concern for them. The church must help to provide some of their basic need for a healthy and hygienic living condition.

Pray that God will provide for this need.

Literature Ministry---- Fusukang

Most of you know that I had taken up the challenge to be the Chief Editor for the Chinese Assembly Magazine---Fusukang since after the last Elders Conference in Cameron. Since then the editorial committee had not failed to come out with 6 issues of the said magazine.

The next issue should be the last before the coming Elders Conference in September 2009. What I am praying is to know if I should continue with this literature ministry if the opportunity is offered to me again. Or should I end up with the next issue and pass it on to anyone who is willing to take over.

In my heart 2010 seems to be my Sabbatical year.(1977-2010) I am tired. I need a break. I may put down many many coming events and invitations. Those who have been with me since 1977, thanks. Those who have been blessed through my ministry---glory to God, do continue to love the Lord. Uphold me in prayer and pray that God will help me to focus on what God intended for me in the final lapse of my life.

What's Up ? Busy?

I had chosen to remain at low key for a moment. I am searching my heart to know God's leading in my life and my ministry.

1. I've left NTGH Chinese Assembly to the management of their elected elders. So i've opted out of church administration.

2. I've also considered to stop my Kiwinews temporary.

3. I am conisdering to step down from eldership and church administration in NTGH English Assembly by January 2010. (My 60th,birthday)

4. I have started a fellowship group at Tambun Indah,Simpang Ampat since 1st.April. I have meeting on Tuesday night 8.30pm-10.00pm So far we had three sessions already. First session, 6 us. Second sessions 9 of us. Tonight 4 absent but we still have 8.

I called the group Cfc "Christian Fellowship Community". In Chinese it is Mei Ya Ji Du Tu Tuan Qi.Tuesday night is call Du Jing Hui (Bible Study Fellowship).

Many things are changing around me....allow me to settledown and to know the leading of God.
Pray for me.

Gone but not forgotten

Brother in the Lord, Tang Kim Teik was called home last year (2008) and I manage to get his tombstone done just before the Chinese New Year.

Though he was alone, a single old man, but he is not forgotten. Praise God.

"Thanks for remembering me" Each time you visit his grave, how I wish he can say this to you.

Sister Su Fong passed to be with the Lord before the Chinese New Year. She was knocked down by a motor cyclist while riding her bicycle to the market. We were shocked at her sudden demised. She was an active member in our hokkien fellowship. Surely many will miss her when we meet again in our hokkien fellowship after the Chinese New Year break.

2008 Chinese Youth Camp

Thank God for the blessing the Chinese Youth Camp organised by NTGH/SBGH from 23rd-26th.November in CCC Penang.
We had over 110 campers, staff and teachers.
What makes the camp so special? Camp commandant returned from Serdang, Game organiser returned from Serdang, many other assistants from outstations, one even came back from Singapore just to be around to help up.Another from UM KL, yet another from USM Penang.
Others took leave from work on and off to be in the camp to help up.
Very comforting to know how our labours in the past has nurtured so many young people who were willing to come back home (to NTGH) to help up in the camp.
This is more comforting to our Youth Worker, sister Tong who is also the camp organiser. She is so encouraged by the willingness of her ex-YP members to come in to help up in the camp. Praise the Lord.
We have also received helps from youth leaders of other Assemblies in Seberang Perai and Penang. Thanks to all and praise to the Lord for blessing this camp.

Really Lost In Klang

I was invited to take the Sunday morning ministry at Jenjarom Gospel hall and also at Klang Gospel hall on 16/11/08. Having being away from Klang for over 35 years, I had to go one day earlier.

I started journey early in the morning and attended to some personal matter in Desa Petaling before going off to Klang and Jenjarom. I managed to find whereabout of the Jenjarom Gospel Hall. I met up with a brethren at Janjarom to confirm I would be there the next morning. Knowing that I was able to find the church, I returned to Klang to see the whereabout of Klang Gospel Hall. It was not too difficult to find the church hall.

Having know the whereabout of both the church hall I thought it was time for a rest in the hotel. My son had booked Hotel Histana much earlier. My family members had already checkd in to the hotel be then. However, failed to locate the hotel.

At first I look for the hotel over the same part of Klang as Klang Gospel Hall. I could not find the hotel. I called my son and he told me it was on the other side of Klanf river. So I crossed the river and got myself jammed up in the slow moving trafic. Still could not find the hotel. I asked around and no one seems to be able to help, because I am a stranger to Klang even when they told me some hints. I got lost in Klang, got out of the tol and got myself into Shah Alam, retuend to Kland and got myself so lost that I decided to staop at a Cuci Kereta to wash my car.

I got myself rested before JayaJusco and asked my son to look for me. He got me and guided me to the hotel. I was really ried out! It was already near 6.00pm almost 10 hours driving from 8.00am
It is an experience that I will not forget.
