Happy Chinese New Year
Wishing all my readers a Happy Chinese New Year.
If you are looking forward to a blessed year, abide in the Lord always. God, our Heavenly Father, is the source of all our blessing. Apart from Him we are nothing.

Read through Psalms 1:1-3
Do not live in sin or in the way of the wicked. Instead we are told to chose, to desire the way of the Lord. To meditate and to study His Word, and to obey and walk in God's way. Such is a blessed man.

When God grant us such blessing, we will be in a good standing in life, like a tre being planted by the waters. We will be blessed with all our needs, and even in bad time, we will fear no evil. Even in all the things that we do in His will, in Hia way, God will bless.

May this be your blessed year.

Facebook & Blogging

Of late many chose to post and write on facebook.
I am one of them.
Definitely it reaches to the people who you wanted to share in just an instance with facebook.
However, lots of unwanted things also come into your site. Nevertheless, those things are the tell sign of the activities of your friends. It is more casual and friendly, more down to earth and real without any hidding.
You began to be concern with your friends, you encourages them, you comfort them, you motivate them etc. You share their worries and know their pains.

Facebook is a channel for parents, leaders, and pastors to know how their loving people are doing out there in the world, in their career, in their studies, in their relationship. You can some time feel their depressive spirit, their anxiety, and their fear. You know how to attend to them immediately.

Blogging (if there is such a word for it), is a report. A news sharing. It is not easily accessible  to our friends until they turn on their internet. Even then, they may not like to read lengthy aricles. Hahahaha the modern day generation has not much patience for reading.

As for me, when I am too busy with my schedule, writing and posting on a blog is just as inconvenience. But surely it is a good platform to share our thoughts and our hearts out to those who wanted to reachout to.

Let us keep in touch in anyway.......never lose a friend, a buddy just becoz you are busy.

The Channel of Blessings---- NTGH

NTGH has been given a privilege to provide a ministry to work among the Nepali workers as well as the Vietnamese workers.

God is His own ways has initiated the ministry with some English migrant workers who act as interpretors for many of us.

Gradually, these migrant leaders took over the leading role and continue to work in their native language. NTGH provided teaching and training sessions to leaders and allow the leaders to lead their own ministry.

We also help to look into their matrimony matters.First with parental consent back at home, then with simple church ceremony.

It was much joy when such occations arises. Soon after marrage, when their work permits expire, they prefered to return home.

By God's grace work has extended much to Nepal and also to the homes and relatives of these believers. We can see how they were committed to the work in their place of work, also live a God pleasing life.
Lately we have teams of friends visiting our dear believers friends at their home country, fostering a very close fellowship link.

Though NTGH may be a small assembly, in obedience to God, we witnessed great work done in these lives. To God be the glory.

Fresh Start Soon

Hi,
It is almost a year since my LAST posting in this Blog.
Many things had happened and events passed by. Refer to my facebook.

However, I must covet your prayer as I realised time has come for me to start afresh on my ministry.
I am comtemplating to resign from NTGH eldership. I wanted to go on to a new phase of  my ministry...... CVM Ministry. Country and Village Ministry. I hope to be available to small country churches, to preach the Word and to encourage the saints. I wanted to be a ON Site Reporter of the condition and needs of the churches I drop into. I hope to keep my readers (my prayer supporters) know exactly the needs of the saints in the country township and villages.

I hope to be able to provide some form of intensive training sessions for these smaller churches. I wanted to provide fellowship t those lonely church leaders in these churches. This will be my last lapse of ministry in my life.

In fact, I have been waiting for a fresh commissioning from the Lord. I just wanted to know what the Lord has for me for the next phase of my ministry. Thank God for reveling to me gradually His plan. I hope to work on His plan and be on the move again.

If you are with me, do pray for a clear leading and an effective ministry. Since I intend to leave my pastoral role, I need a platform to stand on for my new ministry. I hope to call it CVM Ministry. Pray with me. Comment on this plan if you have any leading of the Spirit. Thanks

Hello Everybody !

Some may wonder why I have not posted much news in my blog. Well, nothing new happened of late except some preaching trips.

In fact, I had been around to BMGC, BGH, SBGH, and of late, I was up at Cameron Gospel Hall. I was also taking a camp for KCC Chinese Assembly.

During the school holidays my youngest daughter took the mum (Hai yen) to Taiwan for 10 days tour.

Anyway whenever there is something interesting I will surely post it here to keep in touch with all my prayer partners. God willing, I will be going to Sedenak in October to take two meetings during a week end.

God bless you all.

When I visted the parlour I could not recognise him at the first glance. However, if you look at the photo from afar off, you will recognise him.

Thank God for granting him so many years to enjoy the fellowship and love of the chidlren and grandchildren. He had many years of good christian fellowship with BRGH Chinese Assembly.

We will always remember him as our NTGH church secretary. A simple but friendly and caring brother in the Lord. Rest in peace.Amen.

Church On The Move

This is a busy generation. People at work have no choice but to work when duty calls. Whether you are an engineer or a medical doctor, or a truk driver or a business man. Even a teacher is just as busy as anybody.

How do we go about refreshing our spirit and enhancing our fellowship in the Lord?

Of late, we decided to get the church away from the church building on Sunday 11/3/2012. We encourage members to make time for worship and fellowship on Sunday 11/3. This time , it will be a weekend break away from routine (from home and place of work), at the same time to have spiritual refreshing and Christian fellowship.

We chartered a bus, we booked CCC (a camp site) for day use only.
We gathered in the church on Sunday morning, and we boarded the bus and shoot off to Penang CCC.

we had our singspiration on board the bus, words of encouragement, and sharing etc. We had our worship service in CCC and lunch fellowship. It was followed by a forum session, with a panel of four forum speakers. At the end of the session we had tea fellowship. There after a free session to move about in the beach.

As soon as dinner was over, we headed for home.
All expenses were sponsored by the church. Praise the Lord, God gave us a fine weather for that day.

Nepali Beliveres Wedding at NTGH

22nd Jan 2012 was CNY eve. I was busy conducting a nepali belivers weddign service in NTGH. In fact, we are leaving behind a weddign service format for the Nepali congregations. We hope when they are back in nepal, leading their various congregations throughout nepal, they will consider our Nepali wedding Service in NTGH.

First there was this pre marital counselling session with the couple. Then briefing the couple regarding the service order and things not to forget to do or bring to the service.

In the actual wedding service we conducted it in Bahasa interpreted into Nepali mother tongue. We finished the officiating ceremony first, followed by the exhortation. Then giving the service over to the worship leader for song and praises and items presentation. In this case we have the Vietnamese presenting some song items at this Nepali wedding service.

Then we have an elder from NTGH to bless the couple. Having all done, we pronounced them husband and wife before the ending of the service. Tea reception followed.

Praise God for the good turn up of both friends and believers at the wedding service.

A Blessed New Year

Just to greet all my prayer supporters and my readers a Happy and Blessed New Year.

What do you expect in this 2012?

Rev 9:6 "During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them."

What kind of life can it be then?

In the last day, we need to learn to live amid trails and persecution. We need to learn to survive with high cost of living. We need to learn to self motivate, to over come depression and broken spirit. Otherwise many will breakdown and broken in life.

The secret to the challenge of such troubled world is "simple lifestyle", living within "our mean", not to be burdened with many financial commitment.

May I wish all of you a Blessed New Year.

Christmas Dinner at NTGH English Assembly

Christmas is a recognised festival for Christians in particular. NTGH has always make use of the occasion to reach out to our friends and our loved ones during this festival.

We have been successful in inviting friends and loved ones to the dinner and expose them to Christian songs and the gospel message. One of our church member's sister shared with us how God touched her love during the last Christmas and she had accepted the Lord.

In fact, many of our loved ones have come to know the Lord, accepted the Lord through such visitor friendly occasions.

However, to make it more meaningful and effective, we encourage Christians to actively participate in sharing a testimony, a song item, and inviting more friends and relatives to such function in the future.

Carolling In Hospitals 2011

Thank God for granting us our hearts' desire that we were given the opportunity to sing Christmas carols in two different hospitals this year. As usual, we also gave away fruit packings to hospital inmates as well as nurses and hospital assistance.

We pray that God will bless these people who enjoy our carols and may our presence be a living testimony to the coming of a Savior king.

Visit to Jireh Home

We also visted Jireh Home in Kulim. This time we prepared dinner for the inmates as well as our own members. We sit down to eat with them. We had such closeness in fellowship that make them interacted with us easily.

After the dinner we adjourned to the main hall, and sing some carols. Pastor Kiwi also shared a simple message to remind all of us that the most important thing in life is have Jesus as our Lord. We have the Lord, we have all that we ever needed in life. In Christ Jesus is salvation of our souls, and also the promise of God's presence and provision.

Christmas reminds us that God cares enough to visit us and to save us from sin.

Visit to Canaan Home During Christmas season

We visted Canaan Home on 18th.Dec 2011. Our objective was to share with the workers and the inmates this Christmas Joy that God has given to the world.

Pastor Kiwi shared a simple gospel message and encouraged those who had accepted the Lord as their personal savior to inform the Staff in charge of the Home---sister Shirley.

We sing to them the Christmas carols and also provided them with some food. We also presented each inmate with a simple gift and had practical fellowship with the staff worker.

ALC 2011

It was held from 27-29 November 2011 at Grand Kampar Hotel. It was represneted by 40 different assemblies with a total of 130 participants.

There was a great concern for succession of leadership in local churches. Where are our young adults? How should we equip them to take over leadership?

There was this mention of local and overseas mission projects. Mentioned was made on Project Paul Kampar and Project Nepal Missions.

Thank God that I was not hurt in anyway when someone knocked my car from the behind as I was passing through Ipoh. I spent a night in Ipoh and made the necessary police report etc. I manage to report to the ALC on the next morning.

Gone But Not Forgotten

Simple life and hard working is this brother in Christ---Yong Fu. He was of Butterowrth Gospel Hall and he joined the team to establish a new centre in Alma some years back.

Though he was suddenly called home, missing his daughter and wife, we believe it was the best God could have for him at that point of time. He died of heart attack.

Let us learn from him a BIG lesson, be prepared to meet the Lord anytime. Peace be with our brother.

God Bless Our Aunty Seok Choo

Whenever there is a new convert in NTGH, she would be the first to rejoice with the believer. She would welcome the believer to her house for lunch or dinner and continue to have him/her in special Christian festives.

She encouraged the young ones to serve the Lord.
Whenever there is a need of fund to finance any project, she would be the first to foot the bill.

When the YP had their camp in CCC Penang or activities in church, she would close shop earlier than usual, and joined them. She would bring along some food for tea break.

Our aunty Lim Seok Choo, daughter of our church founder the late Lim Kiah Joo, was a faithful believer and supporter of NTGH. Praise God for her influence in my life as a believer. She is now rested in the Lord.

Peace Be with Aunty Rosy

Aunty Rosy rested in the Lord on 5/9/2011 at the age of 87.
She was such a caring and godly aunty to the KHOR family.

From young the KHOR family had associated with aunty Rosy through Aunty Meow Nai. She and many other aunties have shown much love and care for the KHOR family. It was the love of God that made them do what they had rendered to the KHOR family.

She spoke words of encouragement each time we visited her. When Pastor Kiwi went into fulltime church ministry, she gave her blessing and encouragement.

Though many things had happened in Aunty Rosy's life, but she trusted the Lord in all situation. Though weary and tired in her old age, she still look to the Lord for comfort and strength.

Thank you Aunty Rosy...peace of God be with you, and be blessed in the Lord's holy presence. Amen.

Uncle Kee Yong Seah Gone to Be with the Lord

Mr.Kee suffered a minor storke some 9 years ago. Ever since he had not recovered. He was bed ridden for about four years. He passed to be with the Lord on 2/9/2011

We had wake services for him on 2/9 and 3/9 in his Nibong Tebal home. Funeral service was on 4/9 and he was buried at our NTGH Cemetery in Jawi.

Thanki God for His salvation and thank God for a good timing of Mr. Kee's departure. Being a series of public holidays, many were able to attend the services. May God comfort the family members in time of this bereavement.

Chinese Elders Conference 2011

The 15th.Elders Conference was held at Penang Berjaya Hotel from 30th.Aug 2011 to 1st.Sept.2011

About 80 participants from 17 different assemblies came for this conference.

The Lord has spoken in the conference through four different speakers. There is sign of a spiritual awakening among the leaders. Pray that this will set a revival among the various assemblies.

Pastor Kiwi has also presented a report regarding the Chinese magazine "fusukang". He had also surrendered the responsibility to his successor---Burmah Road Chinese Gospel Hall had agreed to take up the job.

Thanks for your prayer support.

Plan for 2012

Each year at this period, before the end of the year, Pastor Kiwi has the habit of waiting upon the Lord for guidance and planning into the next year.

Pastor Kiwi is now seeking the Lord to plan for 2012.

One thing is sure, Pastor Kiwi is giving up the Literature Ministry "Fusukang" for good. Pastor Kiwi has come out with two volumns of booklets consisting of all the 13 issues of the magazines produced for the four year terms. These booklets will serve as a guide book for future young leadership. It carries the articles on Brethren Distinctives, pastoral know-how, and also notes for the various church ministries.

Most probably Pastor Kiwi will spend more time back in NTGH, giving priority to preaching ministry. Less traveling in 2012.

Pastor Kiwi will continue to help up in the nearby assemblies occasionally.

Pray for fresh vision and faith to move in steps with the Lord's leading in estblishing new ministries.
